Inking agreement with Belushi Pisano Gallery

The Belushi Pisano Gallery will represent Jennifer at their new gallery on Martha’s Vineyard Island, and will host an exclusive showing of her work in 2006 from July 1 through 15.

The Belushi Pisano Gallery is a subsidiary of the Second Chance Foundation. The Foundation was established in 1991 on Martha’s Vineyard Island and provides support to financially stressed individuals, and to organizations that provide services and sustenance to the community. In addition, the Foundation fosters appreciation for the Arts through the presentation of financial awards to individuals and organizations.

Initial funding for the Foundation was generated by an auction of items from the Judith Belushi Pisano collection of John Belushi memorabilia. With the opening of the Belushi Pisano Gallery, the Foundation will take on a more active role in the Arts. This transition changes the Foundation’s financial framework and dynamics, and makes it a more active part of the community. All profits from the Gallery will be added to the Awards coffer.

According to Jessica Pisano, Director, the Gallery will represent a small, select group of local and nationally recognized artists and specialize in contemporary fine arts. Exhibited works will include paintings, mixed media, sculpture, ceramic glass, and jewelry. Each represented artist will have their work highlighted for a two-week period during the summer season (April thru September). The gallery will be open year-around and is located at 18 State Road; Martha’s Vineyard, MA; 02568. Telephone (508) 696-8988.

Art- a healing experience

Jennifer’s work, along with three other international artists, will be featured in a special art exhibit and lecture series sponsored by UCLA and the Salamander Fund, and hosted at Gallery Saint Germain in West Hollywood, CA. The theme of the event is Healing and Transformation through Art.

Multi-media events will take place at the gallery during the first three weeks of December. There will be a special VIP night and opening reception on Saturday, December 3rd, 2005. The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. Debra Linesch, Chair of the Loyola Marymount University Graduate Department of Marital and Family Therapy, that offers specialized training in clinical Art Therapy.

The purpose of Healing and Transformation through Art is to explore a variety of ways in which creative arts can unleash personal insight and enhance health. The arts can be healing to artists themselves, or to those who experience their work. Partial proceeds (30%) of the sale of artwork during the month will be donated to the Salamander Fund to continue its support of ongoing UCLA programs in creative arts and healing.

The Gallery Saint Germain brings the work of contemporary artists from Europe and the United States to southern California. The gallery is located at 302 N. Robertson Blvd. in West Hollywood and is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For this event, the gallery will be also be open from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sundays (www.gallerysaintgermain.com).
